So recently I have been going through a lot of anger issues.
In fact, as I am typing this, I have stress and anger...I need God's grace to rid me of this anger.
Many believe that anger is totally acceptable. In fact, the following verse is often taken out of context even by believers:
Ephesians 4:26-27
26 "In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.
They basically imply that one may get angry, as long as one does not go to bed with this anger.
But if you read the verse that follows:
28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.
These sins are placed into the same context of problems people should be without. Yes, it says we get angry, but it doesn't mean we should. It merely tells us how to deal with the sin of anger, as much as much as we should deal with the sin of theft. Now sure, there are times to get angry...anger for injustice or wrongdoing. But generally, anger is something we need to get rid of. It causes much pain and frustration, causing us to act out in sin.
Ephesians 4:31
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.
I hope this helps you guys to deal with your own anger somewhat...
